The Invisible Woman Makes a Brief Appearance

It's been so long since I posted that I thought I should get something up here. I'm warming up for my drawing classes this fall with this one. It's likely to change, but at least there is proof I didn't get lost in NY, and sometimes, it's just nice to draw a face.
I saw a ton of art this summer. One my favorite artists that I encountered was Aya Uekawa: www.ayauekawa.net . She is doing some interesting things with mixing Japanese flatness with western 3D. I think I'm going to try that out with this drawing by cropping out the background in Photoshop and collaging in a pattern. It might not work with charcoal, though. We'll see how it goes.
